Updating the software on your mobile device

It is NDA policy that all mobile devices (iPhones and iPads) need to be continually updated to the latest iOS version or the last version released. Anything less than this will be considered out of compliance and can cause your mobile device to be quarantined and your applications will be inaccessible.

How to check for updates:

To check for software updates, you need to find the settings button on your device and tap it to open the settings menu.

Make sure your mobile device is linked to a Wi-Fi connection and if there is an iOS updates available, then it will show in this screen.

These updates require a minimum of 50% battery so it’s best to do this while your device is plugged in and charging.

What happens if you don’t update?

Failure to keep your mobile device compliant will have the following repercussions:

After 10 days out of compliance – You will get daily messages asking you to update the device

After 15 days out of compliance – Your device will be cut off from all NDA access. You will still be able to make calls and use Authenticator, but all other access (email, etc.) will be cut off.

If your device is quarantined then simply follow the above steps to update and then access will automatically be restored. It will take up to 24 hours for all your applications to be restored.
